眼鏡の生産地としても名高い福井県鯖江市が誇る日本の伝統工芸の1つ”越前漆器”の落ち着いた光沢と洗練された輝きにインスピレーションを得てフレームカラーと同じカラーのエポキシ樹脂を手塗りでアローヘッドフロントピンをほどこし、ナバホ族のネイティブアメリカンが由来となってるジュエリーの”バゲットカット”を再現したワイヤコア(芯金)に採用することでJ.M.Mのクラシックアイコンから新たなイメージを放つアイテムとして昇華させています。

EPOXY II: ZEPHIRIN FUMÉE by JMM Now in Stock

Jacques Marie Mage’s EPOXY II arrived today.
This model is the iconic ZEPHIRIN, size 44.
The base color is black, with a special epoxy-coated arrowhead.

Inspired by the subdued luster and refined brilliance of Echizen lacquerware, a traditional Japanese craft from Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, a renowned eyewear production region, the arrowhead front pin is hand-painted with epoxy resin in the same color as the frame. The wire core recreates the baguette cut of jewelry originating from Navajo Native Americans, elevating J.M.M.’s classic icon into a new piece.
